Modern Day China Qing Dynasty before Revolution
The Cultural Revolution took place during the 1960s. The first map is of modern day China. Modern day China is 9,596,961 sq km. China has a vast variety of geographic lands. There are mountains, deserts, and flat and hilly land. The second map is of the Qing dynasty, which extends throughout modern day Mongolia and China. The Qing dynasty was from 1644 to 1912. Today, China borders the East China Sea, Korea Bay, Yellow Sea, and South Sea. It also borders Russia, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Bhutan, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. In 1992, Mongolia became it’s own country. The capital of modern day China is Beijing. The capitol of the Qing dynasty was also Beijing. Mao Zedong spent most of his time as a leader traveling around China. He visited different schools to speak to the youth and specifically talk with the Red Guards in that town. He traveled for most of his life. He was born and raised in Shaoshan in the Hunan Province in China. Mao was a person who was always traveling around, trying to continue to set a good example and eliminate the four olds.
